Emilie is creative, detail oriented and committed to her clients. She has planned events and parties all her life so it was no surprise to her friends and family when she decided to start her own event planning business. She has been assisting her clients in creating beautiful, memorable, and well planned weddings and events professionally since 2007. She plans every occasion with exceptional grace, elegance, and care, and views each event as if it were her very own. She not only wants the experience to be great for the hosts, but for the guests as well. Emilie prides herself on being friendly, relaxed, and easily accessible. She looks forward to helping you make your special event the best day of your life.
Emilie is a proud member of the Association of Bridal Consultants and she has worked and trained with some of the top wedding planners in the DC area. Emilie lives in DC with her husband, Greg and two beloved pups, Rudy and Charlie.
Katie Awad, Associate
Katie is a recent graduate of Messiah College with a degree in marketing. She began her event planning career with a prestigious Annapolis catering company before coming on board with Bliss in the winter of 2012. Katie is professional, organized, and enjoys the fast pace environment of weddings and events. Her passion, drive, and immense attention to detail help us execute flawless weddings and events.
Jake Hargadon, Associate
Jake is the newest member of our team and began assisting us with weddings in July 2012. Jake is a recent granduate of the University of Richmond with a degree in business and marketing. He got the wedding planning "bug" while interning for some of the area's top catering and event planning companies. He quickly realized what a fun and amazing industry this is and his enthusiasm and passion are undeniable. Jake is professional, organized, reliable and an all around good guy. We know Jake has a prosperous career ahead and we are lucky to have him.
