Wedding Weekend - yeaahhh! It's our favorite kind of weekend
and we are busy prepping for Saturday's wedding at the beautiful
Woodend Sanctuary in Chevy Chase, Maryland. The ceremony
will take place in the Grove with cocktails outside and lawn games
then on to brunch under the tented patio with beautiful rustic farm
tables, delicious food, and gorgeous flowers by Wisteria. Then on
to dancing and partying in the ballroom to the sounds of Chris
Laich. We are super excited for A & D's special day and wish them
a lifetime of love and happiness. The inspiration board by Snippet

It's time for a change and weddings are moving in a
new direction.
Of course we... have loved the romantic and elegant neutrals
that have painted the pictures of recent weddings but it's been
done
over and over. Bold, striking color is coming back ...with a
vengeance!
You will see it in Fall fashion as well as new stylish
wedding decor.
Think about pairing bright tangerine orange with
a pop of turquoise, or
mix it up with pinks, purples, yellows and
reds. Be daring and be
creative. The results are stunning.

Let's talk purple.
This color is lavish and gorgeous and you can
see why it is considered a color
of royalty, nobility, and spirituality.
We are finding many of our brides are choosing to incorporate this
color in
some way to their wedding decor. Either as an accent or
"pop"
of color or as the main feature. Here are some ideas and trends
we love
that incorporate a splash of purple. We love that this color
can be brooding, mysterious, dark,
and romantic or light, airy and
cheerful. It holds a sacred place in nature with
delicate flowers such
as lilac, orchids, and lavender considered precious
flowers. We love
it for its richness and versatility. Pair a deep eggplant with
chocolate a nd white for a fall affair or light violets and greens in
spring. The options
are limitless....
